Fast X, directed by Louis Leterrier, premiered at The Space Cinema Roma Moderno in Rome on May 12 and was subsequently released in parts of Europe on May 17. Fans in the United States and India eagerly await the film's arrival on May 19.

Variety's review of Fast X commented on the franchise's uncertain future with a new director at the helm, stating, "this first part of a vaguely defined finale spins its wheels, while Vin Diesel and company try to decide where the franchise is going." Peter Debruge, a critic associated with the publication, expressed his disappointment, noting that the film felt incomplete and left viewers on a cliffhanger.

In his review for the New York Post, Johnny Oleksinski referred to Fast X as "another idiotic Fast and Furious sequel." He criticized the convoluted plot, the return of characters without sufficient context, and the inclusion of award-winning actors like Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Brie Larson in seemingly insignificant roles.

However, amidst the mixed reviews, critics were quick to praise Jason Momoa's performance. Discussing Film drew an unexpected comparison, likening the narrative of Fast X to Avengers: Infinity War. James Preston Poole of the website highlighted Vin Diesel's strong presence as Dom Toretto, but it was Jason Momoa's portrayal of the flamboyant and vengeful Dante Reyes that stole the show. Poole emphasized the character's resemblance to the Joker, describing him as a gleeful psychopath who brings a captivating energy to the film.

Collider's Ross Bonaime echoed the sentiment, commending Momoa's portrayal of Dante as the most intimidating villain in the Fast and Furious franchise. Dante, driven by revenge and armed with stolen technology, becomes Dom Toretto's greatest adversary, aiming to dismantle his cherished notion of family.

Directed by Louis Leterrier, Fast X features an ensemble cast including Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, John Cena, Brie Larson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, and Cardi B.

As the release of Fast X approaches, audiences eagerly anticipate witnessing Jason Momoa's captivating performance as he adds a new layer of intensity and menace to the Fast and Furious universe.
